Okay, even though the high flying, crimefighting, tight costumed role of Kara Zora El of Krypton has subsequently reinvented on the boob tube by Melissa Benoist (nude on Homeland), Helen Slater as Supergirl is the first super-powered knockout to get horndogs to point northward (pants first) and shout, “Look! Up in the sky, it’s a bird, it’s a plane . . . it’s a hot chick!” The reason for that is that Helen Slater got to pour her hot body into the famous blue and red leotard in the lead role of Supergirl (1984), the only big screen adaptation of the iconic comic book character to date.
